CPMA Meets with China Dyestuff Industry Association

The Color Dyestuff Industry Association (CDIA) recently met with the Color Pigments Manufacturers Association at the SOCMA office in Washington, DC, and presented CPMA with a customary gift from China. Taking part in the gift exchange are, from left, CDIA Vice Director and Secretary General Tian Liming, CPMA Executive Director David Wawer, CDIA President Shi Xianping and CPMA President John Marten of Shepherd.

In a ground-breaking first-time meeting, the China Dyestuff Industry Association (CDIA) visited the SOCMA affiliate the Color Pigments Manufacturers Association (CPMA) in Washington, D.C., on July 27.

Established in 1985, the CDIA represents organic pigments, dyes and textiles chemical producers and accounts for 90 percent of dyestuff production in China. The introductory discussion provided an opportunity for the respective associations to learn more about regulatory developments affecting color pigments in North America and China.

SOCMA affiliate ETAD North America also participated in the meeting.
