The 2016 GlobalChem Conference and Exhibition returns to Washington, DC, and will be held March 22-24, 2016.
GlobalChem has been the premier chemical regulations conference for more than two decades. The two-day conference and one-day TSCA and International Fundamentals Workshop can’t be missed.
What’s in store for 2016:
Due to the significant progress toward Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) reform this year, Day 1 will include all major legislative and regulatory topics pertaining to TSCA and TSCA modernization, including the timeline for implementation and expectations for companies. As you may know, the U.S. House of Representatives passed TSCA Reform legislation (H.R. 2576) in June 2015 by a vote of 398-1, and it appears likely that the U.S. Senate will take up similar legislation in the near future. Hopefully, TSCA reform legislation will be on the President's desk for signature by the end of this 2015.
Day 2 will include sessions on the upcoming 2018 REACH Deadline with a particular focus on SME's, Emerging Chemical Regulations from around the world and how these could be impacted by a Modernized TSCA, Alternatives Assessment as they pertain to the entire value chain, as well as GHS and TSCA Enforcement sessions, among others.
