Longtime SOCMA member Sun Chemical Corporation last week hosted U.S. Representative Brad Wenstrup, who represents Ohio’s 2nd Congressional District, at its Amelia, OH, facility. The Congressman met with company leaders and toured one of the performance pigment facilities before meeting with plant workers for a Q&A session.
During the tour, Sun Chemical showcased itself as a leader in innovative pigment manufacturing. Sun’s research and development center was one of the highlights of the tour, showing the company’s commitment to improving productivity and contributing to a more sustainable future.
Following the tour, Congressman Wenstrup graciously took time to speak with Sun Chemical employees and answer questions about his priorities for the district and what he would like to accomplish during his time in office. The Congressman was enthusiastic about programs and trade schools to train the next generation of workers and had a lively discussion with plant employees about different solutions.
The site visit at Sun Chemical was the result of an invitation extended during SOCMA’s 10th Annual Washington Fly-In held in April.
Congressional site visits are an excellent way to build relationships with elected officials and demonstrate your company’s contribution to the local economy and community.
