SOCMA Shares Key Issues Impacting Specialty Chemical Industry with SBA Administrator

Members of the SOCMA leadership team this week met with Linda McMahon, Administrator of the Small Business Administration, to discuss key issues impacting the specialty chemical industry, including regulatory reform, health-care costs and workforce development.

With workforce development as a major concern for specialty chemical manufacturers, SOCMA promised to work with SBA on the issue moving forward. SOCMA also noted that SBA can be of assistance as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is developing the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) fees rule.

We had a great meeting with Administrator McMahon,” said Jennifer Abril, SOCMA President and CEO. “We look forward to working more closely with the Small Business Administration to ensure the voice of small business and the specialty chemical sector is heard throughout the federal government.”
