Room Block for Security Summit Ends Soon
June 14, 2012
For those of you planning to attend the Chemical Sector Security Summit and Expo, the discounted rate to reserve your room ends June 29. The room block ensures that you are in the hotel with other attendees, and it's connected to the Baltimore Convention Center, where the July 30 through August 1 event will be held.
The Summit, co-funded by SOCMA and the Department of Homeland Security, provides a forum for representatives from the chemical community to exchange information and network with other security professionals. A breakout session that might be of particular interest to SOCMA members focuses on the challenges to Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) implementation at small facilities. What Members Are Saying…
“Right off the bat, SOCMA’s ChemStewards provides you with a template that shows you good practices that should be implemented across-the-board. And the dialogue with other members and SOCMA staff is very valuable. You would have to pay a lot of money to bring in that kind of expertise, but with SOCMA, it’s all a benefit of membership.”
