At the beginning of each year, SOCMA’s Government Relations Steering Committee establishes legislative priorities for the organization and staff for the coming year. The priorities generally reflect policy interests among specialty chemical manufacturers and provide direction to SOCMA’s Government Relations staff as to where to assign SOCMA’s time and resources on Capitol Hill. Historically, these issues include policy areas such as international trade, chemical risk management, workplace safety, chemical facility security, tax and regulatory reform and rail competition.
To track our progress in influencing these priorities, please view our scorecard (Member log in required).
