    Meeting set for Tuesday, March 22 in Hyatt Regency Concord Room 

    Members impacted by the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) are encouraged to attend SOCMA’s Chemical Risk Management Committee meeting at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. The meeting, being held in conjunction with GlobalChem, will take place from 3:00-5:00 PM (EDT) Tuesday, March 22, in the Concord Room.

    Congratulations to Liam Esparraguera of Maret School, who prevailed as the 2016 You Be The Chemist Challenge® winner on March 9 at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC). SOCMA and UDC served as sponsors of the event, which encourages students in grades 5-8 to explore chemistry concepts and their real-world applications.
  7. TSCA Reform, Trade among Key Issues as SOCMA Members visit Capitol Hill

    Washington, D.C. – With the House of Representatives and Senate conferring on final Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) legislation and the continued failure by Congress to act on the Miscellaneous Tariff Bill (MTB), SOCMA members will have much to discuss with lawmakers April 11-12 during SOCMA’s 9th Annual Washington Fly-In.

    About 95 SOCMA member companies attended InformEx 2016, the premier event for the fine and specialty chemical industry. During the show, our members took time to network and hold meetings with potential business partners in their own booths, as well as the SOCMA booth and member lounge, which were constantly busy throughout the event.
