IARC's Monographs Program has been criticized by credible third parties for manipulated outcomes, as a result of omitting data, refusing to consider the weight of evidence, and relying on cherry-picked studies in their carcinogen classifications. By relying solely on hazard assessments, the conclusions made by IARC in the Monograph reports do not clearly reflect real-world risks, which causes confusion and undue alarm for the public.
