Special ICIS Publication Featuring SOCMA is Here
Leadership Conference Attendees, SOCMA Members to get Early Look at Publication
Hot off the presses, a special publication featuring SOCMA and its service to the batch, custom and specialty chemical industry is being distributed to 2012 Leadership Conference and Chemical Industry Golf Tournament attendees in Cambridge, MD. ICIS, a trade publication with more than 14,000 subscribers worldwide, produced the multi-page editorial publication for the newly revived Leadership Conference.
The 24-page supplement features a variety of articles offering perspectives from not only SOCMA but other experts and leaders with insight on issues impacting specialty manufacturing. SOCMA President Larry Sloan shares his thoughts about how the 2012 elections and current state of the economy are affecting the specialty industry. SOCMA’s Bill Allmond provides an outlook on key legislative and regulatory issues for the coming year. SCD-iBIO’s Larry Drumm and Bill Armiger talk about how the use of bio-based raw materials is on an upwards path, but costs need to be reduced before the sector can realize its full potential. SOCMA’s ChemStewards® program and annual golf tournament are also highlighted, among many other stories. Click here to read more.
ICIS is also working on a digital supplement that will feature stories from the conference. Both the print and digital version will be distributed to all members. The publication will be available to the public October 1.

What Members Are Saying…
“Compared to many other associations, SOCMA is much more of a working organization. The staff is very proactive and on top of issues. But equally important is the level of participation from members. People come to SOCMA to really take part and to try to address the issues.”
