Join SOCMA members and guests who play every year to participate in this charity scramble tournament. SOCMA is hosting a 1-day golf tournament to raise money for the American Chemical Society (ACS) Scholars Program. Proceeds will help sponsor scholarships for qualified minority applicants who want to enter the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, or chemical engineering, and students seeking degrees in chemical technology. The program’s goal is to assist African-American, Hispanic, and American Indian students in acquiring the skills and credentials needed for success in these areas.

2010 Golf Tournament SponsorsIn this way, SOCMA has supported the ACS's efforts to build an awareness of the value and the rewards associated with careers in science for the past seven years. The ACS Scholars Program is a worthy cause that has benefited the future of the chemical industry for 15 years.

10:00 AM – 12:30 PM – Registration
10:30 AM – 12:30 PM – Lunch Buffet
10:30 AM – 12:30 PM – Free Practice Area
12:30 PM – Shotgun start – Scramble Format
5:45 PM – 6:45 PM – Cocktails
6:45 PM – 9:00 PM – Buffet Dinner and Awards Ceremony

  • Individual: $325.00
  • Reception Only: $85.00

Regular Rate: (Begins August 27, 2010 at 5:01PM EDT)

  • Foursome: $1,400.00 
  • Individual: $350.00 
  • Reception Only: $100.00

Early Bird:

  • Individual - Competitive: $325.00
  • Individual – Red Team (e.g. bad golfer): $325.00
