GlobalChem 2008 Keynote Speaker Announced
This year’s GlobalChem will include a special focus on EPA’s new chemical testing partnership with Canada and Mexico, known as the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP). SOCMA members will likely be asked by the Agency to support this voluntary program to test 9,000 moderate volume production chemicals, which is set to begin later this year.
PUZZLED BY CHEMICAL REGULATIONS IN THE WORLD?
Employees in the chemical industry are faced with an enormous set of regulations that need to be identified as applying to you, then interpreted and examined, and lastly complied with on a federal and state level and internationally. Keeping up with the changing regulatory environment can be a full time job, on top of everything else you need to do. Emerging issues and trends in the product stewardship arena and equivalent international regulations are constantly changing.
One method to stay tuned in to all of this activity is to participate in GlobalChem on an annual basis. This conference presents you with interactive sessions bringing you key information on developments in international markets, emerging science issues, biotechnology, TSCA and so much more. This conference and exposition delivers useful information you can take back to your company for compliance.
It also is a fantastic way to get to know the regulators as well. GlobalChem can proudly state that we have a strong participation from EPA and Canadian regulators, who make themselves available as speakers and exhibitors as well as general participants.
