WHAT: The Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) is pleased to announce the highlights of the upcoming Chemical Sector Security Summit co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The annual event brings hundreds of participants from across the Chemical Sector together to learn new developments from various security agencies and exchange ideas in support of securing the Chemical Sector against foreign and domestic threats. Invited speakers include the Honorable Janet Napolitano, Secretary, U.S. Department of Homeland Security and General James Snyder, Acting Assistant Secretary of Infrastructure Protection, U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
This event will feature sessions with expert panelists on such topics as:
- Federal, State and local updates;
- Cybersecurity;
- Multi-agency harmonization efforts; and
- Compliance with DHS Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Act Standards (CFATS).
