SOCMA: Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates

The Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturers Association (SOCMA), along with Keller and Heckman LLP and the Bulk Pharmaceutical Task Force, is hosting an educational webinar in response to the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) final rule concerning current good manufacturing practices (cGMP).

These regulations cover the manufacture, packaging, labeling or holding of finished dietary supplements. Although dietary ingredient and component suppliers are not subject to the new rule, these new regulations effectively allow finished dietary supplements manufacturers to hold their suppliers to a much higher standard. Suppliers therefore could face additional demands from their customers.
