InformexUSA 2009
Press Conference
Hear from SOCMA President Joe Acker as he reveals results of SOCMA’s 2008 Business Outlook Survey.  Roughly 100 of the industry’s top business professionals completed the survey, which requested their opinions about the current state and future of the batch, specialty chemical industry.

SOCMA Booth at Informex
The SOCMA informational booth will be available the duration of Informex to provide information on all aspects of SOCMA business including prospective member literature as well as information on SOCMA’s variety of programs.  The SOCMA booth number is 102.

SOCMA’s REACH Summit at Informex
SOCMA’s REACH Summit will address the first phase of implementation and provide the basics on preliminary rules that address chemical safety assessment documents, filing for exemptions, testing, waiver of testing on the basis of exposure scenarios, and criteria for indentifying bio-accumulative and toxic substances. Registration is included in your Informex registration.  Only attendees of Informex may attend this summit.

GlobalChem 2009
The annual information-rich conference provides an educational opportunity for chemical professionals in the areas of upcoming regulatory issues and trends in chemical control management.  This Conference covers U.S. Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), emerging issues and trends in the product stewardship arena and equivalent international regulations. 

Interactive breakout sessions will include key information relating to developments in important international markets, emerging science issues, hazard communication and so much more.

SOCMA CONNECT Washington Fly-In

SOCMA Member Lounge at Chemspec Europe
Chemspec Europe is one of Europe’s top fine and specialty chemicals events focused on providing attendees access to the top suppliers and buyers in the industry.  SOCMA hosts its Member Lounge during this event to ensure SOCMA members have all the opportunities to enhance their global presence and networking opportunities.

Chemical Security Summit
As DHS programs expand and legislation moves through Congress, security responsibilities for the chemical sector continue to evolve.  The Chemical Security Summit is designed to give details and context to industry concerning all emerging changes in chemical site security responsibilities.  The Summit features a broad cross section of government officials and private sector participants discussing the latest developments and best practices.

Member/Guest Golf Tournament
A tradition at SOCMA, the Member/Guest Golf Tournament is designed to be a way for chemical industry executives to get together to play a challenging round of golf all to benefit the American Chemistry Society’s Scholarship Program.
