SOCMA Announces 89th Annual Dinner Celebration

Marks ChemStewards® Anniversary, Recognizes Performance Improvement Winners

Washington, DC - The five year anniversary of the ChemStewards® Program will be among the many achievements the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) celebrates during its 89th Annual Dinner on December 6, 2010 in New York City.

For nearly a century, chemical industry executives have gathered annually in New York for this highly anticipated event.  This year, SOCMA will celebrate the past year’s successes, including enhancements of several member programs and development of new partnerships with state chemical industry groups.

The Annual Dinner program will feature a reception and awards ceremony for the winners of SOCMA’s Performance Improvement Awards, sponsored by ChemStewards. The awards honor the achievements of ChemStewards participants in environmental, health, safety and security measures, as well as educational outreach in their communities.  Entertainment for the Annual Dinner will be provided by the Capitol Steps, a Washington-based musical and political satire group.

Annual Dinner: Over 500 of the chemical industry’s top executives networking with old and new friends, as well as entertaining customers to show their appreciation for the year’s business.  

ChemStewards® Reception: A reception honoring the anniversary of ChemStewards and celebrating winners of the Performance Improvement Awards – companies which demonstrated a commitment to excellent environment, community safety and health standards the past year.
