SOCMA Launching InteChem07 - Integrating Security with Management Systems

August 21, 2007 - The Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturers Association (SOCMA) is hosting a conference covering the requirements of the recently enacted chemical security standards, including important updates by key DHS officials, and how to integrate these into a company’s management systems. 

Keynoting InteChem07:

-Hon. Robert Stephan, Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security;
-William Wright, Interim Executive of the Chemical Safety Board.

Monday, October 1, will feature an optional 1-day workshop focusing specifically on ChemStewards® and celebrating the 2 year anniversary of the program.  The highlight of the workshop will be a Mock Audit on document verification procedures performed by three certified ChemStewards auditors. 

SOCMA has partnered with five organizations which are lending their time and support towards InteChem:

-National Association of Chemical Distributors;
-National Paint & Coatings Association;
-The Fertilizer Institute;
-Agricultural Retailers Association;
-The International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration.
