DHS is significant to SOCMA for its responsibility for security regulations at chemical facilities.

Environmental Protection Agency
SOCMA works with EPA on a plethora of environmental issues, ranging from air, waste, and water to chemical control laws and pollution prevention. This is the agency with whom SOCMA works most closely.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration
SOCMA's relationship with OSHA resides in process and employee safety and health regulations.

Small Business Administration
SOCMA works closely with SBA's Office of Advocacy to ensure that the voice of small business is heard within the federal government.

Office of United States Trade Representative
SOCMA collaborates with USTR to help advance member concerns regarding technical barriers to trade developed by foreign governments that impede members' access to global marketplace.

United States Patent and Trademark Office
SOCMA members with international intellectual property (IP) issues can contact the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s (USPTO) IP attaché program, which works to improve IP systems internationally for the benefit of U.S. stakeholders.  IP attachés are posted at U.S. missions around the world to address IP issues arising in their assigned regions.  Find an attaché in your region.
